Kanyakumari-Kashmir Round trip - Day 10 - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra - Mathura - Vrindhavan
Day 10 - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra - Mathura - Vrindhavan (stay in Mathura)
Kilometers driven - 325 KMs
Walking - 15000+ steps
Kicked off from Jaipur around 7.15 AM, filled CNG in Madan Mohan Service Station, IOCL pump, Jaipur, RJ. Had breakfast enroute Fatehpur Sikri. It was a highway dhaba and we could find only parathas :) without knowing the size, we ordered 2 paneer parathas and 2 mixed parathas only to pack 1.5 parathas for lunch. It was very big and hard on edges and we couldn't have all of it :(
Few kilometers before Fatehpur Sikri, we re-fuelled the car at M/S Shaheed Kumar Singh Veerchakra Filling Station, Bharatpur, RJ - another Indian Oil pump. On the way, we had the paratha left-overs, apple and mangoes for lunch.
After parking the vehicle in dedicated slot, we took the shuttle bus to visit the Fatehpur Sikri forts. You'll be disturbed by a bunch of governement approved guides, we got disappointed seeing school kids selling petty items throughout the fort premises for livelihood.
We then went to Agra railway station, parked the vehicle and took a tuk-tuk battery vehicle to see the wonder of India - Taj Mahal and Agra Fort
We had kachoris, samosas with muttar (green peas) masala, pani puri, lemon soda etc.., outside the railway station campus :) The next stop was Mathura
Booked Panache Hotel, Mathura - parked the vehicle in the hotel and took 30 minutes break. We took a tuk-tuk to visit Krishna Janmasthan (a lovely and divine place where Lord Krishna was born).
By 6 PM, we took another tuk-tuk ride to reach Prem Mandir, Vrindavan. The temple premises was over crowded (lakhs of people), you'll find many story telling statues depicting Lord Krishna tales throughout the temple premises amidst colorful lighting, musical fountain etc..,
We walked into one of the many restraurants around Prem Mandir to have Mysore Masala Dosa for dinner :) It was 10 PM when we settled in the hotel. A long and tiring day indeed
Luv,
Krishna & Mahadevan
