Kanyakumari-Kashmir Round trip - Day 11 - Mathura - Western Peripheral Expressway - Amritsar

Day 11 - Mathura - Western Peripheral Expressway - Amritsar (stay in Amritsar)

Kilometers Covered - 650 KMs

Walking - less than 3000 steps (a drive day and hence no site-seeing :)

We had informed the hotelier that we'll start early and to ensure that no other vehicles are parked in entrance area. As always and our luck - 4 vehicles were parked near and into the entrance of 10 feet passage :)

Spent 45 minutes waking up those car owners, had garam chai (couple of them coz the cup size was tooooo smalllllll) and started by 6.30 AM towards Amritsar

We already decided that it's a driving day and we should use the remaining time for washing clothes (Note - The original plan was to stay in Ludhiana and proceed to Amritsar next day - however, we drove in a single day and saved another day from the 37 days plan)

The first stop was at Hans Filling Station, Hodal, Haryana (IOCL pump) and we entered the Western Peripheral Expressway (outer ring road of New Delhi). OMG!!!! It was extremely superb :) any Tom, Dick and Harry would love to cruise in it :) 





Then we stopped in a roadside restaurant for a super duper breakfast - grilled sandwiches, soft - small parathas, pickle and curd. It's now turn to feed the car - Chikkara Goods Transport Co Pvt Ltd, Rohtak, Haryana (IOCL pump)

We skipped lunch, had few lime sodas and juices - another fuel stop at HR Fuels, Sangrur, Punjab and reached Amritsar by 4 PM. We re-fuelled the vehicle again at Harsha Automobiles, Amritsar, Punjab

The stay was fixed at Treebo Trend, Savera Park. We bought paneer pakodas, litchies, mangoes, banana, biriyani, jamoons etc.., for late lunch and dinner. Went to the roof-top and tied clothesline to accomodate 6-7 days' clothes of 2 men :)

Went for a walk and good nighted by 8.30 PM

Kanyakumari - Kashmir Round trip - Final Day 34 - Hogenakal - Salem - Coimbatore

Final Day 34 - Hogenakal - Salem - Coimbatore Kilometers Driven - 275 KMs Walking - around 4000 steps As expected, we couldn't enjoy our yesterday's visit to the Hogenakal falls because of crowd. However, we got up early and went to the falls by 6 AM - Cauvery Snan to complete the trip It was deserted and we were the only one to take a dip so early there. It felt like a private falls - no crowd. We spent around 40 minutes in the falls - wowww!!!! This would be the ideal time to visit the falls - you can plan it accordingly.  We came back and had the complimentary breakfast in Hotel Tamilnadu - :) Our initial plan was to reach Coimbatore via village routes until Sankagiri. However, one of my friend requested to bring a small parcel from Salem. We visited Salem and took the parcel, refilled CNG in Salem Dist Lorry Owners Association IOCL pump - Unit 2 near Periya Seeragapadi, Salem. Kanyakumari-Kashmir Round trip - Waterfall Day 20 - Manali - Jana - Chandigarh

Day 20 - Manali - Jana - Chandigarh (stay in Chandigarh) Kilometers covered - 365 KMs Walking - 12000+ steps Jogini waterfalls, Manali, Himachal Pradesh - a beautiful waterfalls became famous after the movie 96 in Tamilnadu. A multiple layered waterfalls - predominantly the public visit the first 2 layers. There are 2 ways to reach the fall - one is from the temple (structured pathway) and you could view the fall remotely and the other is through the falls gully (this will take you to all the layers) We went through the gully and water was gushing all over with multiple pipelines for public usage. We had Chai and started the trek by 6.15 AM. The lower level was closed, however the path to other layers were open. We were surprised to see so many views of the waterfall passage - it was simply superb :) After climbing few meters, we were able to see the alternate passage on the other side of the hill.
